Servsys, a US-based IT company, participated in relief efforts in flood-affected areas in Kerala by contributing towards the needs of affected families. Operating from Dallas, Servsys is a managed networking and IT services provider with several employees who have their roots in Kerala, India.
Kerala, home to over 30 million people, was hit by a catastrophic flood in August, which displaced over 1 million people.
The Servsys team distributed bed, pillows, bed sheets, gas stoves, pots and pans, glasses, fans, chairs, groceries etc to various families in need. Eshwar Prasad, President at Servsys Corp said, "The Relief Camp helped our Employees come together and make a difference to the affected families."
Kerala is slowly getting back on its feet from what some describe as the "worst floods of the century." The state has suffered losses of over $4bn.
